Lake of the Woods CAPSURE

by Lee Frame

Pro LOW, in its continuing efforts to improve our community, would like to encourage everyone to use the Lake of the Woods CAPSURE system for getting your guests into LOW.  The significant backups at the front gate are due, in part, to the time that it takes for the security officers to take phone calls from residents calling in guests and for them to enter the information on those guests into CAPSURE.  In addition to delaying guest entry, with the resulting front gate backups, the call-ins result in delayed responses to phone calls, some of which could be emergencies. Instead of waiting to get through to security on the phone, enter your guests into CAPSURE yourself and save your own time.  The process for using CAPSURE is fairly simple.  The first thing that you need to do is go to the Holcomb front desk and get a password to enter the CAPSURE system.  They can also explain how to use your User Name, which is your lot and section number. Once into CAPSURE, you can change the password.

Once you have a password, go to the LOW website http://www.lowa.org/.   On the front page of the website you will see CAPSURE up near the top left of the front page.  Click on CAPSURE and it will take you to the CAPSURE Login.  Enter your User Name and the password provided and you will be taken to your home page that will list your visitors.  That page contains some Quick Tasks, one of which is "Schedule New Visitor(s)."  Click on that task and it will take you to a page where you can enter visitors.  Enter the visitors first and last name, destination and time of the visit.  If you have filled out your profile, your address will come up as the destination. Otherwise enter your address.  There are several other options for location such as clubhouse or community center.  A nice feature is that if you expect a visitor to visit regularly, you can enter a time and date that extends for a year, saving you the need to continue to call in every time that visitor comes.  You don't have to list visitors’ email addresses or company names, although company names are helpful for commercial visitors.

There is also another section of CAPSURE that includes personal information.  On your home page go to "My Profile" and that will take you to a page with options for entering email, phone numbers, family members and other information to assist security in managing their interactions with you.

The CAPSURE system is a tool provided by LOWA to ease the interaction with members/residents and improve operations at the front gate.  Using it can enhance security operations for our community and Pro LOW strongly encourages it use.
