A Strategic
Plan for LOWA
Strategic Planning is a fundamental
responsibility of all Community Association Boards, including the LOWA
Board. It involves setting the mission and vision for our
community, establishing goals, and developing strategies and specific
programs and projects to meet those goals. In the words of the
Community Association Institute, “Without strategic planning,
the community will never know where it is going---much less know if it
ever got there.”
In February 2003, the Board approved a plan for member comments which was
posted at the LOWA website as “Vision
Plan from February 2003". No final action was taken on that plan.
Pro-Low strongly urged that the LOWA Board develop and approve a
Strategic Plan for LOWA, including a Mission and Vision Statement,
goals, and strategies for achieving those goals.
In July 2018, the LOWA Board approved a Strategic Plan for LOWA,
including a Mission, Vision and Values Statement, goals, and
strategies for achieving those goals. It is posted at the LOWA
website as "Board Overarching
Goals and Strategies".
